Collaboratory Recap

when I first learned about this
opportunity I was really excited to be
around like-minded individuals that are
probably experiencing a lot of the same
things I am with a small business trying
to do things more systems of lately I
always like to say here at Levi Strauss
& Company
you know pioneer when you see one we
know what they look like and I think the
folks who are collaboratory participants
really embody what that’s all about
these are people with big visions it’s
not an incremental vision of progress by
thinking they can be willing to dream
these are folks who are willing to
experiment with sight
visors for the first time do it
organizing
opening up work that they have been
doing that I had heard whispers of
mctv’s about Paul and his work as well
as the war unless so I was kind of
excited that they were opening up to
share with organizations like ours being
surrounded by young new organizations
and social entrepreneurs combined with a
much more obviously a much more
established large company like Levi’s
and I think that the combination of both
the collective might of those small
organizations combined with the power of
a big company like Levi’s is it takes
both to create substance change you take
a bit of a chance when you bring
together ten people from such diverse
backgrounds and then add in ten mentors
and then all the support
a lot can happen if the dynamics are not
right but it really feels like something
very special has happened here in the
last 72 hours and I can’t wait to see
what that leads to
